Parks Canada is taking steps to recognize the pain caused by land expropriation during the creation of Kouchibouguac National Park. The acknowledgment of this aspect of the park's history is an important and positive gesture. Hopefully this will continue in the future; examples from other parks demonstrate reconciliation can be reached.
