This summer there will be a reenactment of the Battle of the Plains of Abraham (Cdn. Encyclopedia, Wikipedia). While this example of living history could serve as an excellent educational experience, the choice of this battle is quite controversial. The reenactment itself, and the activities and events that surround it, will have to be carefully planned so as to respect the combatants and their ancestors.
