Due to sea-ice breaking up earlier, Polar Bears (Ursus maritimus) are forced on to the land sooner than normal. As a result, they are having to find a different food source in the form of Snow Goose (Chen caerulescens) eggs. Normally Polar Bears rely on a hunting seals from the ice. Currently there is an overabundance of Snow Geese.
