It is interesting to note that the Museum of Nature in Ottawa is now pairing art with artefacts in a current exhibit. While the exhibit is primarily based around the work of a local Ottawa artist, it also includes specimens from the scrapbooks of Catharine Parr Traill. The art, historical documents, and subject matter bring together natural and cultural history.
