Amherst Wilderness Protected

A wilderness area outside of Amherst, Nova Scotia has been designated the Chignecto Isthmus Wilderness Area. These lands, while protecting the municipal water supply, are a positive step towards preserving the corridor between Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. In this case it is moose that benefit from such unimpeded travel, but protected wilderness corridors are important to many speices.
